Find Fenagh at the 2019 New York Hurling Classic!
Join us Saturday, November 16 at Citi Field in Queens, New York for the 2019 New York Hurling Classic!
Hurling is “Ireland’s Ancient Warrior Sport” and is widely believed to be the world’s oldest field game.
Now, after 3 highly-successful U.S. events at Boston’s Fenway Park over the last 3 years, the Hurling Classic is coming to New York’s Citi Field!
There will be a 3-game tournament with 4 counties competing for the Players Champions Cup, a prize that was first introduced at the 2017 event. Come enjoy the fun at Citi Field, located at Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in Queens, New York.
Fenagh has enjoyed the last 3 years of the Hurling Classic in Boston. We’re excited for the event to expand to New York as Fenagh expands our operations in NYC at the same time. We’ve been a part of the event since its inception, and it’s been wonderful to see it grow over the years.
Hurling is close to home for the Fenagh team. Fenagh Engineering & Testing has offices across the USA, but the roots of our founder can be traced back to the village of Fenagh in County Leitrim, Ireland. As an homage to this heritage, we have a traditional “Hurley” (the club used to play the sport of hurling) displayed on our Boston office wall. Next to the traditional Irish Bodhrán Drum, the hurley sits in our front lobby to greet our employees, engineers, and clients every time they walk in the door. Hurling is top of mind in our office year round, so we’re always excited for the annual Hurling Classic to come around.
Along with the hurling tournament, there will be a complete Irish festival with music and dancing.
