Description: The well-designed 19-story apartment building at 945 Fifth Avenue was created by the famous Emery Roth & Sons, back in 1949. The creators described it as a “straightforward composition rendered in beige brick above a two-story limestone base.” Its watertank enclosure is the most interesting on Fifth Avenue, rising in 2 large setbacks. The entrance to the building welcomes tenants beneath a two-story recess.
